The Importance of Good Character in Islam

Good character holds an extremely high position in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was sent to perfect good character, and it is one of the heaviest things on the scale on the Day of Judgment.

Qualities of Good Character

Good character includes honesty, patience, generosity, kindness, forgiveness, humility, and justice. A Muslim should strive to embody these qualities in all interactions.

The true measure of faith is reflected in one's treatment of others. The best of Muslims are those with the best character.
